Emily Simpson Slams Divorce Rumors After Husband Shane Fails Bar Exam

There’s more than what meets the eye on Real Housewives of Orange County.

This season on Bravo’s reality show, viewers have watched Emily Simpson experience a few struggles in her marriage.

One obstacle was the fact that Shane Simpson studied for the bar exam away from his family. So what’s going on with the pair today?

“People think that you are definitely going to get divorced,” Andy Cohen shared on Watch What Happens Live Tuesday night. Emily replied, “Yah, no!”

She continued, “I’m not trying to make excuses for him but I see a side of him that other people don’t get to see so I think that’s what makes up for it. I know it sounds awful but I’m the one who goes home with him at night when we’re alone and he says nice things and he gets me cards and he writes nice things to me.”

While appearing on Watch What Happens Live, Emily also confirmed reports that Shane did not pass the bar exam in February. A source previously shared with E! News that he is currently waiting for the results of a second bar exam he took.

In addition, the pass rate in February 2019 was only 31 percent. In other words, it’s not exactly easy to pass.

“I’ve said before, I feel badly, but I give him a lot of credit for doing what he did, and he did it with millions of people watching,” Emily shared with The Daily Dish. “I mean, when I took the bar exam in 2005, it was like, just my family knew I was taking it.”

She continued, “And for him to go through that and to take it and for millions of people to judge and have opinions about it, I mean, I think that was a pretty brave thing to do.”

While this season’s Real Housewives of Orange County is just getting started—have you seen that midseason trailer?!—Emily is hopeful Shane can reach his goals. And she’ll continue to support his journey on and off screen.

“He’s working full-time right now for a law firm, and he really enjoys it, but he wants to be able to be licensed so he can practice,” she explained. “So he’ll probably keep taking it ’til he does.”

Real Housewives of Orange County airs Tuesday nights at 9 p.m. only on Bravo.

Eddie Judge Wants To Watch Tamra & Braunwyn Kiss — Recap – HollywoodLife

Published

By

Eddie wasn’t the least bit phased by wife Tamra Judge’s hot makeout session with her ‘RHOC’ co-star, Braunwyn. In fact, Eddie just asked if he could watch the next time they swap spit.

Remember Tamra and Braunwyn‘s scandalous kiss last week? Well, Tamra’s husband, Eddie Judge, fully approved of it — it was something he admitted during the Oct. 22 episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County. We initially thought Eddie would freak out about the girls’ hot makeout session, but we were so wrong. When the cast gathered at OC Fashion Week, Tamra and Braunwyn greeted each other with a hug and kiss, and Braunwyn jokinly asked if they should makeout “now or later”. And that’s when Eddie took the opportunity to ask about their most recent kiss. He inquired about whether or not their tongues were involved and they said “just a little”. That’s actually when we thought he’d freak out, but instead, he asked, “Can I watch next time?” And Tamra laughed — “There’s my husband!”

Just after last week’s episode aired, a source told HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY that Eddie, 46, first “laughed” off the incident when he heard about it. “Tamra’s husband, Eddie, is fully aware of what he got into when he married Tamra,” our insider told us. “He knows she’s always full of crazy antics and it’s just part of who she is. He obviously wasn’t thrilled about Tamra’s makeout session with Braunwyn, but he laughed it off like he does with most of the crazy things Tamra does when she’s partying with her girlfriends. Eddie knew about what had happened at Shannon’s birthday party before it aired on television because Tamra told him ahead of time, like she always does when she gets a little wild partying. It hasn’t caused any wedges in their marriage, he knows that’s just who Tamra is and he loves her all the same.”

Unfortunately, not everyone was a fan of the makeout. Last week, Tamra’s longtime BFF Vicki Gunvalson called Braunwyn “trash” and left Shannon’s birthday party early because she didn’t want any part of their over-the-top PDA, as well as Braunwyn’s “dirty dancing”. Vicki wasn’t on this week’s episode, but next week, we have a feeling we’ll hear more of her opinions about that kiss.

Want more drama? New episodes of RHOC air Tuesdays at 9pm on Bravo.

She’s Getting ‘Very Bad Advice’ – HollywoodLife

Heidi Fleiss thinks ‘Fuller House’ star Lori Loughlin made a mistake by not making a plea deal for her alleged role in the college admissions scandal.

Heidi Fleiss, 53, thinks that Lori Loughlin, 55, may live to regret her decision to fight the charges she faces in the college admissions scandal case. The former “Hollywood Madam” – who became infamous in 1993 when her high-class prostitution ring was busted – thinks the Fuller House star is getting “bad advice” in the face of allegations that she and her husband Mossimo Giannulli, 56, paid $500,000 to get their daughters Olivia Jade, 20, and Isabella Rose, 21, into the University of California (USC).

Heidi made her comments mere days before the Justice Department slapped the couple with additional charges. On Oct. 22 Lori and Mossimo were accused of conspiring to “commit federal program bribery by bribing employees” of USC “to facilitate their children’s admission.” Those are on top of charges that include money laundering and conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud. Before the bribery charges the couple already faced up to 40 years behind bars.

“[It’s] so smart to plead right away…admit it right away and get it over with right away,” Heidi told HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY. Heidi – who spent 20 months of her 37-month sentence for tax evasion in FCI Dublin in Northern California – spoke to us about the camp where Felicity Huffman, 56, is currently serving 14 days after pleading guilty in the same admissions scandal case. “Two weeks you can do anything, you know what I mean?” she said. “You can handle anything. Someone can throw you in a dungeon, whatever. You can handle anything for two weeks.” Referring to Lori, Heidi added, “The other one though, she’s going to have a hard time.”

It’s that fear of the unknown – the sentence that she may face – that she thinks Lori may find hard to cope with. “Your head made something so [much] worse than it really is,” Heidi said. “It’s really hard on you. Once [it’s done] you’re like, ‘Oh, it wasn’t bad at all. My God, that was it.’”

Instead, Heidi thinks that Lori and Mossimo should donate millions of dollars to “college kids who can’t pay” for their tuition. “That’s what I would do right away because I think it’s big time, wrong approach [to fight],” she said. “It looks arrogant. It looks cocky and it just looks like more rich and white entitlement. That is my perspective.”

Asked how much time she thinks Lori may get if she’s found guilty, Heidi said, “More than six months. I think she might get an 18-month sentence.” Referring once more to the star’s decision to fight, she added, “The judge is not going to like that. It doesn’t look good.”

Lori and Mossimo have both plead not guilty to the earlier charges that they faced. HollywoodLife has reached out to their lawyers for comment on the additional bribery charge, but we’ve yet to receive a response.

Kate’s Boyfriend Mystery Revealed — Season 4 Recap – HollywoodLife

Published

By

The final moments of the Oct. 22 episode of ‘This Is Us’ left us with so many questions. Kevin meets Cassidy’s husband, Tess opens up to Randall and Beth, and Kate’s reflection on the past presented a new mystery.

In the past, Rebecca finally decides to move into a new house after the fire and Jack’s death. She’s trying to look on the bright side of everything, including Kevin’s surprise marriage to Sophie. She’s planning a dinner for Kevin and Sophie. Kate brings up that Miguel will most definitely be attending this dinner because he’s “here all the time.” Rebecca notes how big of a help Miguel has been since they moved in.

Rebecca wants all the kids to come. In addition to Kevin and Sophie, Randall is bringing Beth. Kate is getting pretty hot and heavy with her new boyfriend, Mark. However, the family doesn’t know about him yet. The dinner starts out a little awkward. Kevin explains how he and Sophie ended up getting married. Suddenly, Mark shows up. Right off the bat, Kevin is not a fan. Randall tries to play devil’s advocate.

The kids start fighting in the kitchen and Rebecca snaps at him after she burns the dinner. This is their first night as a family together in the new house and she wants everything to go perfectly. She tells them to shut their mouths and enjoy her dinner. You go, Rebecca.

Later, Rebecca and Miguel have some quiet time. She wonders if she’s trying too hard. “Maybe this loss is too big,” Rebecca says to Miguel. He cheers her up and distracts her with a fancy bottle of wine. Back at the dinner table, Rebecca tells the story of her and Jack’s first night in their house. She reveals how a bird flew in the house right before dinner and the hilarious story that came out of that.

“We need to be able to think about him and not only be sad,” Rebecca says. “We need to be able to talk about the hot sauce. He was perfect the way that dinner was perfect. He made us so happy. And that’s all I want for you guys, for you to be happy.” To conclude dinner, Rebecca performs “Storybook Love” from The Princess Bride on the piano.

In the present day, Kate admits to Randall that she’s worried about Kevin. He’s bought a trailer in Pennsylvania. They don’t know he’s spending all this time with Nicky. Kevin begins opening up about Jack to Nicky. He also tries to get Nicky to go to a hockey game where they’re honoring vets. Cassidy will be there.

Just when he’s about to sit down for a very important meeting, Randall gets a call. Tess had a panic attack at school. He brings her home and wants to talk about what happened. Tess isn’t in the mood. “Stop saying I’m like you. I don’t want to be anything like you,” she says.

Kevin ends up getting Nicky to the hockey game. Nicky is immediately uncomfortable, especially with all the booze around. The loud noises remind him of Vietnam. He leaves and tells Kevin he wants to be alone. Cassidy’s husband, Ryan, shows up to the hockey game. Ryan and Kevin don’t exactly hit it off. Ryan doesn’t pay attention to Cassidy at all during the ceremony. He’s just looking at his phone. Ryan leaves abruptly and Kevin is not happy about it.

Randall hates that he passed on anxiety to Tess. Beth brings Tess and Randall downstairs to have an honest discussion with them. Having anxiety is nothing to be ashamed of. She wants them both to know that. Once Tess settles, she admits that’s been worrying over lying about her sexuality at school.

After the hockey game, Kevin confronts Ryan. He tells Ryan that Cassidy was excited about him showing up. Ryan talks about how he met Cassidy and admits that he couldn’t stand by and honor the thing that “broke my favorite person.” He tells Kevin to “stay the hell away” from Cassidy. That’s all Kevin needs to hear. “He still likes you,” Kevin says to Cassidy as he walks away

Kevin and Randall’s big Pearson grand gesture is the family piano. As Kate looks through old photos that Beth took of that dinner, she sees a photo of Mark. “I didn’t see what was happening,” Rebecca says to Kate, who replies, “I didn’t see it either. What happened to Mark?! This Is Us just revealed yet another new mystery.
